Freedom to Love

Rev. Joel St. Clair
1 Corinthians 8:1-13

In our union in Christ and one another, there is freedom from the rules and regulations of the mosaic law. However, a proper understanding of our freedom means that we are ultimately free to sacrifice our comforts for the sake of others, that all may be built up and grow to be more like Jesus.

This series focuses on our union with Jesus Christ. That is the framework for our salvation from a
number of Pauline letters (see usage of “in Christ”). Scripture paints a picture of human life as something
created by God for a purpose, called by Him to live & follow, and in Jesus Christ to become more and
more like him. Together, we’ll examine how our union with Jesus challenges our understanding of life today in the 21st century.
