Victory through Sacrifice

Rev. Joel St. Clair
John 12:12-36

Jesus entered into Jerusalem to accomplish God's plan of redemption. Despite his disciples' expectations, Jesus accomplishes God's plan through shameful sacrifice. This gives us hope, knowing that God is present even when our circumstances betray our expectations.

This series focuses on our union with Jesus Christ. That is the framework for our salvation from a
number of Pauline letters (see usage of “in Christ”). Scripture paints a picture of human life as something
created by God for a purpose, called by Him to live & follow, and in Jesus Christ to become more and
more like him. Together, we’ll examine how our union with Jesus challenges our understanding of life today in the 21st century.
