supporting one another through meals
We can tangibly express love to community members through providing meals in the midst of life change. We have done this as a church for community members in both good times and bad. Please consider signing up to support the Copper Family with the birth of their son - Desmond!
bonus points: caring for our neighbors with dr. Jen hathorn (sunday, 10/12)
Winter is coming and people who live outside are starting to move indoors! How do we at Mosaic prepare to welcome visitors experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity? Drawing from her experience working among these communities, Dr. Jen Hathorn will share practical insights on how Mosaic can talk to, share with, and care for our neighbors, followed by Q&A. Come join us after service from 12:15pm - 12:45pm on Oct 12 for another Bonus Points edition.

Children’s ministry update: start of curriculum on the gospels
Last year we started using The Biggest Story Curriculum for our Children's Ministry. After spending a whole year in the Old Testament (Pentateuch & History), we are moving forward to the New Testament with Volume 4: Gospels.
The Old Testament story leaves the reader with a bleak picture: God's people are in exile after a long history of Israel being unfaithful to Yahweh despite being given many chances to repent and follow God. Now we come to the second half of the Bible, the New Testament. It represents a new covenant with God's people and the climax of the story that began in the garden. What we saw in shadow and symbols in the Old Testament, we will see in living color in the New Testament.
The word gospel means “good news.” The four Gospels in the New Testament tell the good news of Jesus’s birth, death, and resurrection. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are not four different stories, but four different angles on the central events of the Biggest Story. The four books differ in their style, in their emphases, and in their outlines, but not in the gospel they announce. Here we meet—in flesh and blood—the long-awaited Prophet, Priest, and King.
